Change the Mollie payment description
The description you provide with this setting for a particular payment method is displayed in a payment's details on the Transactions > Payments page of your Mollie Dashboard.
By default, the description displays the order number, but you can change it to a description that is more suited to your needs.
A transaction description consists of the following optional components:
Free text
Variables
{orderNumber} (default)
{storeName}
{customerFirstname}
{customerLastname}
{customerCompany}
{cartNumber}
The following combination of free text and variables:
{customerFirstname} {customerLastname} bought order #{orderNumber} at {customerCompany}
renders as:
John Doe bought order #123456 at MegaProducts.com
To change the description of a payment in your Mollie Dashboard, follow the steps below.
Before you start
Make sure that the payment method concerned uses the Payments API.
Steps
Scroll to the API method field and make sure that Payments API is selected.
In the editing panel, scroll down to the Transaction description field, and combine free text and the available variables to create a description.
Click Update to save your settings.
